Autumn wall hanging in progress

Hi,
I'm working on an autumn wall hanging with hour glass blocks.

What do you think ? With or without blue ?
In the second picture I took some spare blocks to cover the blue ones.

Thank you for your opinion :-)

  1. The blue is like little peaks of the sky on a fall day- it adds interest and sparkle so things don't get matchy-matchy. Looks terrific.

  2. A dark blue would certainly work :)

  3. I couldn't agree more with Linda. It adds the sparkle and breaks up those colors a bit.

  8. I agree with Linda, blue adds contrast, movement, so 'things don't get matchy-matchy.'
    Great work.

  9. If you make more blocks I would leave the blue and add some more (at least one more), if this is your final size, I might leave them off.

  13. I like it with the blue but would probably add a third block that has blue in it, and maybe a slightly different blue, just to keep things interesting. It's got a lovely autumn feel so you can't go wrong either way.

  16. With! With! The blue, being a complement of orange, adds a bit of zing and verve.
